This is a question I have pretty soon after I believed: Why would God make it so HARD to believe in Jesus Christ, His Son?
Well, I am going to do my best to answer this question. If your familiar with Christianity & the book of Hebrews, then you are familiar with Hebrews 11:1, which says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (KJV). Let me clear this up for you, Jesus Christ is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” But, to gain access to heaven, you have to believe in Jesus Christ.
Although for the next 25 days, we celebrate the Christmas season. Christmas is the coming of the One who is going to rescue the world & deliver us, that is people that would accept His name & proclaim the joy you have found. It starts off with Mary, Joeseph, & the little baby Jesus. Yet, I don’t want you to have a false view, but a true view; it was a feeding trough, used for the pigs, cows, goats, & sheep thatthey placed our Savior in. Today, all you see is a small infant to signify the infant Jesus in various parts of the United States of America. I don’t know about other parts of the world, however.
You might be saying how the virgin birth was essential part. I’d agree with you. It was. However, I think we make it to easy to concentrate Jesus’s birth & not God’s true gift that allows access to heaven: Jesus Christ dying on the cross & 3 days later, He rose from the grave. In fact, I drew a picture & had it put on a long-sleeve t-shirt…
Yet, True Life Christians have no problem in obeying the great commission which says, “Go therefore & make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, & of the Holy Spirit, teaching them all I commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20, ESV). Sure, most of us get nervous, but when it comes right down to it, we will declare the name of Jesus as to the One that will get us into heaven.
So why would God make it so HARD to believe in Jesus Christ, His Son? Well, 1 Peter 2:21 says, “For to this you have been called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you may follow in His steps” (ESV). Jesus Christ has been there before. He knows what you are going through.
