The Mountain of the Lord…

“Come, let us go to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways & that we may walk in His paths” (Micah 4:2b ESV).

True Life Christians should have this-going to the mountain of the Lord- as their ultimate goal. However, some of us are too good at talking but not at performing. How disappointing & tragic. God forgive us, True Life Christians!

Further, all throughout the Holy Scriptures points to how God wants a personal relationship with us (not just in the verse stated above), especially those that freely confess His name of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, True Life Christians are given instructions relative to this verse to get close to the Lord so “that He may teach us His ways & that we may walk in His paths.”

So, if you or I fail at this remember what Lamentations 3:21-23 says, “But this I call to mind & therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases & His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (ESV). If we do this in humility, then True Life Christians can begin again to the mountain of the Lord that He may teach us His ways & that we may walk in His paths.

Here is a link of a song that describes it well. It is called “The Mountain of God” by Third Day:
