What If I Stumble?

Imagine just walking along and someone or something causes you to trip or stumble? Or worse yet, you trip up under your own feet causing you to stumble. How embarrassing! You tries to pass it off as a purposeful stumble, or make it like it didn’t even happen especially those that are in your direct vicinity. Again, how embarrassing?

We, then, try to make sure that it never happens again until … it does. Maybe the last time you stumbled was when you were a toddler? Or, maybe you are in rush to get to some place so you don’t miss the concert, protest, or a game, and you stumble that way? TRUE, there are many ways we can stumble.

People, in their search for meaning, try various ways in which to develop full spirituality. Often, however, they go down the wrong path to include beliefs like atheism to all religious beliefs including everything is god, trying to please their god.

Yet it is not like that for the True Life Christian. Grace is the calling card for them, as the only God offers that through His Son. Once and for all. Although we need to keep our sensitivity up for sin and be reminded of how short we fall to God’s glory. So, even though we are forgiven by God (once and for all), we need to be reminded of God’s grace until His Son comes back by asking for forgiveness continuously.

Although for True Life Christians, we can still stumble along the path to righteous living through God, not by our own merits but through Jesus Christ’s alone.

So rest assured, for the True Life Christian, we are not without hope because Hebrews 11:1 says,

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)

For the True Life Christian to stumble means we have hope of grace given to us of the Person who went through it already, and it culminated with His death on the cross (Isaiah 53:3-5).
